Mexican Wrestlers On ImageKind

I had an e-mail this morning from a past customer who bought one of my original Mexican Wrestler paintings.

The series featured legendary Mexican Wrestlers in their full outfits. This series sold out but I Pop magnets asked me a few months ago to think up a new magnet series so I thought these guys would be fab on a refridge.

I created four new pieces based on my original series. Well these guys are still for sale through Bluebottle for the steal of $100 a pop . But I also decided to put them up on ImageKind as giclee prints. They can print a monster print of any of these images at 36" x 36"!

Thought I would share as these guys really big would be pretty cool.

Cannon Beach

Here we are in Cannon Beach, OR. The top photo is what I have decided to give to I Pop - http://ipopshop.com/ for their catalogue. The other photo is my wife, Andrea, with the "rock" It is one of the largest free standing rocks in the world? Or so all the Cannon Beach literature tells us. It was really lovely. The day we drove in there was a huge wind storm and about half the city of Astoria had no electricity. We stopped in Astoria on our way out to Cannon Beach to drop by Lunar Boy Gallery - http://www.lunarboygallery.com/ as I am having a solo show there in July. I wanted to get an idea of the size. It is a really great gallery and worth a trip from Seattle or Portland. Other than that we did lots of walking and ate far too much fudge. A very good holiday!

2008 Desk Calendar

Here is my 2008 desk calendar. The plan was to have a wall calendar featuring 12 monkey world images but unfortunately the publisher had problems with the distributor so for 2008 there is a limited edition run of 200. These are little desk calendars with postcard type cards and they all fit in a nice little plastic holder almost like a CD holder. For calendar year 2009 there will be a high glossy wall calendar. The show with all the originals is up throughout the month of November at Bluebottle. About half the show has sold at the moment. Which is great! makes me very happy. A local Seattleite has purchased 4 pieces - it is nice to think of a mini show at her house!

Andrea, my wife, and I are off to Cannon Beach, OR on Monday for 3 days. We are booked at a B & B just a block off the beach right near the famous haystack rocks. I am sure to put up pictures here next week. I have to get a few good shots as I Pop, the folks that have produced my new magnets sets, have asked for a photo for the catalogue!
